Ten days? Seriously?

Has it really been that long since I posted last? I can't believe it! Time is positively flying in the past few weeks. It seems like there is always something to do, either for Christmas with family gatherings last weekend (and two more this weekend), shopping, cleaning, wrapping, organizing, cleaning, etc.

But the best part of it all has been the preparations for VENUS ENVY!! Only 13 more days! I can hardly believe it. So there have been things on my to-do list like lining up guest blogs, organizing some booksignings, figuring out what to do to update my website, gathering info for my agency to start getting the word out about the availability of foreign rights, etc.

It feels like I'm ending everything with "etc." Which basically means it never ends, right?

Next month will be the premiere of the "What Would Venus Do?" column in Affaire de Coeur magazine. Y0u can still ask Venus your most pressing questions about love, romance, beauty, or men. Write to her here and maybe you'll end up in a column or on the soon-to-be-updated Affaire de Coeur website.

The American Library Association Booklist magazine will carry a great review of VENUS in their December 15th issue. They say, "Witty, funny, and truly original, McKelden’s romance is a standout." Love it!

Also, stay tuned, after next Monday I will have more news about the super cool prize I'm giving away in honor of the publication of my first book. It's beautiful. It's handmade. And it's one of a kind. Check back next week for pictures!

I'll also be updating my website early next week (or throughout next week depending on exactly how time consuming it turns out to be). I'm adding an Events and Appearances page, a page about the column, uh, etc. :-)

Well, I'd better go now. I'm obviously sleep deprived considering I've published this blog entry twice already... once with just the title, once a few paragraphs ago. Now I need to publish the real, complete entry.

See you soon!
- Shannon
